Georgian journalists interested in a study/internship program next spring in the United States - funded by the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi - are invited to apply to the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), based in Washington, D.C. Aimed at print media, the program includes two weeks of study and trainings in four U.S. cities: Washington, New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore. Sessions include hands-on multimedia work; advanced instruction in specialized areas such as investigative reporting; and discussions with government officials, advocacy professionals and veteran U.S. journalists.

Interpreters will be provided, so that non-English-speakers may attend. For the internship portion of the program, ICFJ will select three English-speaking Georgian journalists for four-week stays at U.S. media outlets, and two non-English-speaking journalists for two weeks at other media outlets, with interpreters.
